My athletic goal is:
Hello! My name is Mitja Krevs and I come from Mirna Peč (Slovenia). I'm 25 years old and I have been training athletics for the past 12 years. Running is not just a sport, but is my lifestyle. I train twice per day and I still go on every run with a smile on my face.
My flagship discipline is the 1500 meter run, where I have a national indoor record with the result 3:43:22 (Sopot, 2014).

Zdravo! Sem Mitja Krevs in prihajam iz Mirne Peči (Slovenija). Star sem 25 let in atletiko treniram že 12 let. Tek zame ni samo šport, ampak je način življenje, brez katerega si ne predstavljam dneva. Treniram dvakrat na dan in še vedno se odpravim na tek z velikim veseljem. Moja glavna disciplina je 1500m, na tej razdalji pa imam tudi dvoranski državni rekord s časom 3:43,22 (Sopot, 2014).

I almost finished studies (Food Science and Technology), which gives me much more free time which I spend for training and better regeneration – in fact, now I am totally devoted to running. In indoor season (2014) I ran twice, national record and finished season with a performance at the World Indoor Championship in Sopot (Poland) where I was 16th.

Trenutno končujem študij živilstva, kar mi daje več prostega časa, ki ga porabim za trening in regeneracijo. Lahko rečem, da sem sedaj povsem posvečen teku. V dvoranski sezoni 2014, sem dvakrat izboljšal državni rekord, sezono pa sem končal s nastopom na svetovnem prvenstvu kjer sem osvojil 16.mesto.

In summer season I missed criteria for European Championship in Zurich for only 0,14 second. But nevertheless I ran personal best with 3:40,64 which is one of the fastest time in Slovenia. Although I’m not specialized for longer distances, I run also half marathons and I won twice in Ljubljana (2012, 2013) and Palmanova (2013). This year I turned 25 year, which means I am in best period for runners.

V poletni sezoni sem zgrešil normo za Evropsko prvenstvo v Zurichu za samo 14 stotink. Kljub temu sem s časom 3:40,64 tekel osebni rekord, kar je eden izmed najhitrejših tekov na tej razdalji v Sloveniji. Kljub temu, da nisem specializiran za dolge razdalje sem že nekajkrat tekel polmaraton in dvakrat zmagal na Ljubljanskem maratonu (2012, 2013) in enkrat v Palmanovi (2013).

Now I am training for an indoor season, when I will compete at European indoor championship in Prague. In summer season I will try to beat the national record (1500m). My big dream is the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and 2015 season will be a great preparation for it. I have made progress every year of training, and I believe that I can also make progress in next years. Next years will be very important for me, therefore I will focus all energy to training.

Trenutno treniram za dvoransko sezono 2015, ko bom tekmoval tudi na Evropskem prvenstvu v Pragi. Zaradi mraza v domačem okolju, se bom januarja odpravil na priprave na Portugalsko, kjer bom pilil formo pred prvimi tekmami v dvorani. V poletni sezoni bom poskušal izboljšati državni rekord na 1500m. Moja velika želja pa so tudi olimpijske igre 2016 v Riu de Janeiru in naslednja sezona bo odlična priprava na olimpijsko leto 2016. Vsako leto treninga sem izboljšal svoje osebne rekorde in verjamem, da mi to lahko uspe tudi v naslednjih sezonah.

- 18th place (1500m) European Indoor Championship in athletics (Goteborg, 2013)
- 2nd place (1500m) indoor Balkan Championship (Istanbul, 2014)
- being 35 times a National champion at middle distance running in all categories,
- five-time participant in the European cross-country championship,
- the winner at the Ljubljana Marathon at 21 km (2012, 2013),
- the winner in the Palmanova halfmaraton (2013)
- in 2011 I was selected by journalists and coaches as the best athlete in the category U23
- being a permanent member of the Slovene athletic team.

I will be using the funds for:
Athletics is individual sport which means that I need to financially provide entire program. I have to pay for preparation, traveling to races and trainings, equipment, massages, different testing, food supplements, etc. I estimate basic cost to be around 6000€ for all season. Good result need good program, but good program is related with more costs, therefore I will be really grateful for any support. I will invest all the money for my program. I believe that, if I realize all program I can fulfil my goals.

Atletika je individualni šport, kar pomeni, da moram svoj program financirati sam. Stroški vključujejo priprave, potovanja na tekme in treninge, opremo, športne masaže, različna testiranja, prehranska dopolnila itd. Za celotno sezono pričakujem osnovne stroške okrog 6000€. Za dober rezultat je potreben dober program, ki pa je povezan z večjimi stroški, zato bom zelo hvaležen za kakršnokoli vašo pomoč. Verjamem, da bom uresničil svoje cilje, če bom lahko v celoti realiziral program.
