Growing up, I realized very quickly my passion for sports and competition; I was known as the high school jock. In 2012, a friend from the track who had witnessed me train a few times asked me how content I would be at age 40 reflecting back to my younger years, knowing that I didn't give it my all. I knew that I would regret it and right then and there I decided that I wanted to commit to training full time! Not long after, that friend became my coach and we had 12 weeks of training until the Canadian championships. We made the final, but weren't content as we knew there was much more in the tank. Being a full-time student and working didn't allow for optimal performances and so this year, I decided to withdraw from my post-graduate program to pursue my dream of being a full-time sponsored athlete.
