Biography
The Lisboa Gladiators are a Lacrosse team, based in Lisbon, Portugal. They were the first step of the Lisboa Lacrosse Association, created on September 2015, to make lacrosse grow in Portugal. Our goal is to share the love we have for the game of lacrosse, and give other alternatives to a country that is soccer/footbal-centric. Our aim is to grow has a team, both in the male and female sides, and in order to achieve that we must compete and gain international and national awareness, and this can be achieve by participating in international competitions, since we are the first team in Portugal.
We are a terrific group of players, that fight every week to make this game grow in Portugal, we dont have professional neither experienced coaching or players, but we use every resource available to get that experience, we dont give up, and we will make Lacrosse big in Portugal in the medium/long run.
Our goal for 2016/2017 season, is to participate in the Spanish Lacrosse League, in our neighbouring country, Spain, in order to get experience and prove the world we have value to be part of the world map of Lacrosse. This step will be the very first step to have a Portuguese National Team at the next World Lacrosse Championship in Manchester-2018! Help us grow the game in Portugal!
