If someone told me five years ago that I would be a sub 11 Ironman finisher, I'd laugh and carry on with my comfortable life. But here I am at age 45, three time Ironman finisher, 5 time Swedish Classic finisher, 7 time Ultra Marathon finisher with a sub 3 hour PB on Marathon and getting fitter for every year.
I love endurance sports. I sometimes hate the training required, but I love the way it makes me feel.
I have put up some goals, things I want to experience as an endurance athlete. One of the is the Ironman World Championships at Kona, Hawaii. Another one is the Western States Endurance run. And I'm persistent enough to get there. I'm a third time qualifyer for the WS lottery, and the older I get, the more likely I am to qualify for Kona.
