In April 2015 I entered an open meeting at my local track in Derby on a whim. I gave myself a week to train, and the results were predictably mediocre. What I did gain from the event, however, was a new found love of track and field. Since then, I've built up my training brick by brick - taking every opportunity to learn every nuance of the sport. Every facet is now considered, from nutrition to my plyometric regime. I like to do my research and I like to be prepared. This year, after a year and a half back at the track, this approach paid dividends. I became the M35 200m British Masters Champion. To date, this is my proudest achievement, but I know there's more in the tank...
