Biography
My name is Holly Bassett and I am 16 years old.
I attend Seaford College and am currently
studying A-levels in English, Maths and Business Studies.
In
October 2013 I placed 1st in both the Under 16 Girls' Surf division and the
Women’s Surf division at the BSUPA (British Stand Up Paddle Association)
National Championships at Watergate Bay in Cornwall. Having won the women’s
side of the competition I was eligible to represent GB, at the ISA World Stand
Up Paddling and Paddleboard Championships, which was held in Nicaragua in May
last year. Overall I placed 11th in the International ranking. October 2014 was
the BSUPA National Championships and with hard conditions it was a tough final,
but I retained my title of Women’s Champion for a second year - which brings me
to 2015, where I hope to be headed to Sayulita, Mexico for the World
Championships once again.
