Biography
My name is James Coney, I am a canoe slalom athlete and student from Wales, UK.
I started canoeing in 2009 and have shown rapid progress and now race in the premier division in all three ranked categories, kayak singles, canoe singles and canoe doubles.
I am a member of the Welsh Performance squad form canoe slalom and a former GB team athlete. My biggest accomplishment to date is 16th place at the Junior World championships in canoe doubles.
My ultimate dream is to firmly reassert myself on the GB team at a World championship medal winning standard and maintain that level.
Having suffered a dislocated shoulder in 2014 I am more motivated than ever to achieve my goals and show the World what I am capable of, and you could be a part of it.
