My name is Joey Allen. I'm a 26 year old Shotokan Karate black belt from Houston, TX and I train out of Olympic Karate and Sport Center under Sensei Alex Ndem. Karate has been a lifelong passion for me inside the dojo and out, and I want to continue to grow in it as an athlete and as a person. I didn't get serious about competing until I was about 20 years old. After that, it just became addicting, and I started to win the more I competed. Now I am a top ranked competitor in age 18-34 advanced Kumite of the Texas Sport Karate Federation. It's very humbling since Texas has some of the best fighters here in the US. With that being said, my long term goal is to be a USANKF National Champion and earn a spot on the national team. This is a realistic goal that I know I can acheive, but I cannot do it without your generous help and contributions.
