I have been competing at in a professional level in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the last 6 years. As a member of the Gracie Barra Angola, my greatest achievement in life was my weight loss, giving me confidence, making me brave and finally find something that I can be good at. I started brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when I was 16 years old because I used to be bullied everyday, everywhere because of my weight (92kg). Along the way, I won The World Professional Jiu Jitsu Championship in 2016 in the Absolute division(top 3 of each division compete for the Belt ) beating many top players along the way and becoming the first and the only African winning a Absolute World Title in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which allowed me to arrive where I am today. But my dream is now on stand by because of a knee injury that I got while I was getting ready for the European’s Championship in 2015. -
