Biography
I am Kisler Junior Flores, born in Bradford, I started karate when I was
nearly six years old and I am 12 when i qualified to be on the Team GB and
just turn 13 last May. I started to learn karate for self defence at
first but now it’s my passion and now is part of my life. Through the
years of joining competitions/tournaments, I am proud to say I had won
several titles including National All Styles martial arts (NAS), OKAMI
Championships, UK All Style martial arts and GKR National Championships
where in I hold 2 consecutive years as a champion for 2012 and 2013 and a
Silver medallist in GKR World Cup 2011 and other tournaments.And I am
proud to say that in every tournament i joined in I always have a
medals.The latest tournament I join in is the KIZUNA world cup and I
take home 2 bronze for kata and kumite respectively as there is 66 other
compititors in my division last May 2014. Now I have been selected to
be a member of team GB for Japanese Karate Federation (JKF) and selected
to represent Great Britain and compete in all JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIPS in SENDAI JAPAN this July 26 and 27, 2014.I
see this as a once in a life time opportunity, a wonderful experience
and a chance to represent Great Britain.And a life time achievement.
As karate is not an Olympic sport, it means me and our team are trying
to find ways for funding available to help finance the trip. Me and my
family are now privately fundraising to help me fulfil this lifetime
experience.
