My athletic goal is:

My immediate goal is to represent Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. This is an important stepping stone that will help me qualify for the Rio Olympics.
With each new height I jump I get closer to my long term goals. To succeed, I need a team of people backing me up along the way.

I will be using the funds for:

Being an self-funded athlete is hard. I have a great group of coaches guiding the way and they feel that seeking out high level competitions is key. My top three performances last year were all at big meets. Only one was in Edmonton where I won the EITC Track classic.

Our group is well connected in Arizona, California and Seattle. These locations provide me with top level Americans that push me to jump higher. I plan to compete in the USA 5 times this summer on three different trips. This gives me the best chance to jump PanAm standard!

Flights: for these trips I expect costs to be between $1500-2100.

Hotels : depending on duration of stay $75-150/night (sometimes I can find deals or a couch to crash on). I will share this cost with a team mate and coach.

Food: when I am travelling and competing my nutrition is vital in order to stay on track. I have budgeted for 60-80$/day.

Driving to meets: Weekend trips to Calgary and Vancouver are important for mid summer competitions. Total personal costs will be approximately $400.00.

My monthly training costs are:
$350 For coaching, gym and gymnastics memberships, equipment and sundries.

$150 for massage and Physical therapy which help take care of my body so it remains ready to work hard every day.

Travelling regularly, keeps me away from work for a extended periods! I work very hard while at home to save enough to pay my home costs.

I try not to over stress about the money but at times it can be quite daunting. I wake up at 5 am for an early shift at work, then I train before my next shift. I do my technical work prior to my last work client returning home for 8:30 pm. I have been able to fit schooling in during weekends. I love my life and want desperately to continue to improve.

Your support will allow me to pay for some of these costs and relieve a bit of the need for long work hours.

Thank you so much for understanding and supporting me!

Your contribution means:

I work so I can train. I train 20 hours a week I work 20 hours a week and I take online classes so I can further my education and keep being a competitive athlete...and I LOVE WHAT I DO!

Your assistances means you believe in and support my journey. I have amazing support from my family, friends and coaches, they mean the world to me. Your assistance strengthens my team!

I have come a long way, learned some hard lessons and look forward to this final push. I will jump higher.
