I was born on July 26th, 1996 in Paterson, New Jersey, but I c currently live and train in Europe. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 2007 I started riding when I was eight years old and after diagnosis it was decided not to let me stop being active and it soon proved the right thing to do.
"Together We Conquer Obstacles" is a awareness and sports activity campaign started by me and I am the face of this project . TWCO is regularly present at the most prestigious equestrian events in Poland such as World Cup Qualifier for Central European League promoting good health and exercise to people with diabetes and educating the public about juvenile diabetes, proper glucose management and the need for regular b/g checks.
I think that show jumping may symbolize daily life with juvenile diabetes as the disease puts forth many barriers and obstacles in front of the kids and teens living with it, but with proper management, control and education those obstacles can be conquered without a fault
I train about 3-4 hours per day, she compete once to three times a month in Polish national and International CSI ** or 3***Star competitions, I currently jump meter 1.30 -1.35 and getting ready to join my age group at meter 1.45 as a Young Rider. In 2010 I won Polish Children's Cup and since then I regularly place in top 10 of the open competitions in which more than 60 horse/rider combinations are on a start list and most of them are far older and more experienced than myself. I am licensed competitor for USET as well as she holds a Polish national competitor license thus giving me opportunity to remain active in the sport while living in Poland. I have four mounts a 9 year old Belgian warm-blood gelding named Help Me Boy du Petit Vivier, 7 yo mare named Jamaica Vant Vakenhof and two 5 year old Zangersheide stallions Newton JP Z and F Armani Z. I ride under a watchful eye of the master trainer and eight times consecutive champion of Poland and member of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Mr. Grzegorz Kubiak. As of last year I was also able to spend my summer months in Belgium under the care of World Champion Jos Lansink.
I have been competing at a professional level in Horseback Riding for the last 6 years. My goal is to become a member of the Polish team or ride for USA if they will have me as I hold dual citizenship. In order to do so I need a Grand Prix Horse and this takes allot of funding. I have great horses but they are still young...
Since I started in show jumping I won some great shows and placed along the way. My main goal now is to compete at Young Rider Level and join my age group. I want to qualify for EU Championships 2017 when I will be 21 years old.
