Biography
My name is Lisa Wilson and I have been selected to play Australian Rules Football for the newly formed Great Britain Swans. In August I was part of the Swans team who won European Championships in London. Therefore now I am starting my campaign to be selected for the International Cup team. The International Cup is the biggest international Australian Football Tournament which will be held in Melbourne in 2017.
I have been playing Australian Football since April 2014 where I was one of the first women to join a club in London. From here I aided setting up the inaugural Women's AFL London League which is now in it's second year with 4 teams participating. In October 2014 I played for the first ever England Vixens AFL team in the Euro Cup in London, coming second and in October 2015 I played for the Vixens again in the Euro Cup in Croatia where we were the gold medal winners. On top of this I have started the first ever Auskick and Junior Australian Football club in London, the Clapham Cubs.
Everything I do for AFL is self-funded. Therefore I am looking for a sponsor to aid my passage through the European Championships and on to the International Cup in Melbourne. In terms of what I can offer in in return for sponsorship; I can offer pretty much anything except for logo on kit - I can put logo on the team website, do a monthly social media campaign aimed at them, anything your name is listed in we can put you up and tag you in it, can do photographs with your logo on, plus can do team photo shoots with products etc if required
