My name is Mauro Chies and I've been mountaineering for the last four years, trying to reach the top of the highest mountain of each of the seven continents on earth. I already climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Aconcágua in Argentina, and Mount Elbrus in Russia. I almost summited Mount Denali in Alaska in 2016 and I'am looking for support to climb the next mountains.
I am a 48 year old amateur athlete and I have a medical condition called Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). PKD is a genetic disorder that affects the anatomy and function of kidneys as I get older. That said, my plan is to reach all the seven summits before my kidney function deteriorates too much.
My main goals for 2018 are: To climb and summit Mount Everest in Nepal and Mount Vinson in Antarctica.
To be able to reach these goals this year I have to pay 120.000 USD. This is why I need your support. All donations will directly help me fund my fees.
By contributing you will help me reach my goals but you will also take part in our journey of becoming a gold medalist and, above all, you will help to bring attention to these progressive and life-threatening disease that affects more than 200000 people each year in the US and is no treatable yet.
CLIMB THE SEVEN SUMMITS FOR PKD WITH ME.
Thanks
Mauro
