The Mavericks Water Polo Club is a renowned not-for-profit Toronto-based institution in the realm of water polo,dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in the sport since 1992. Over the years, our club has produced numerous outstanding athletes who have represented our country with distinction on the international stage. We take great pride in our commitment to developing top-tier athletes who demonstrate not only exceptional skill but also unwavering dedication and sportsmanship.
As we strive to maintain our reputation for excellence, we are pleased to announce that we have had a record 8 athletes selected to Water Polo Canada’s Age Group National Team programming comprising of 9 National Team spots. They will be competing in El Salvador, Malta, Turkey, Argentina and China. These athletes have demonstrated exceptional potential and are poised to make significant contributions to our national team's success. However, the financial burden associated with training, travel, and competition expenses can be substantial, especially for student-athletes as each program costs the family between $6,000-$11,000.
