Biography
Rj Garza is a 4 Year old golfer from San Antonio, TX. He is absolutely in love with the game, he eats, sleeps, and breathes golf. All day! As a parent, it is often annoying to have your son trying to sink a 20 foot putt from the living room to the dining room, while your vacuuming the house. But he loves the game so much, and has so much passion towards it, that it is hard to be upset.
Rj started playing golf at the age of 2. His grandmother gave him his first set of plastic little tykes golf clubs in a Easter basket, and ever since he has absolutely been hook. He would sleep with his clubs, eat with his clubs, and yes he would absolutely take them everywhere. Funny thing about it is, he was incredibly amazing with them. A couple months later is when his parents finally decided it was time to get him real golf clubs in his size. After contacting a few different places his father Roger decided to get him some USKIDS golf clubs.
Well, if he was glued to the plastic clubs, you can only imagine how he was with the real things. He began practicing non stop, putting, chipping, and driving in the backyard. A Top Golf was being built around the same time he got his clubs, so once it opened he was one of the first through the door. The in-house pro was impressed with Rj, and he was a hit with the staff. USKids Golf instructs entry level golfers Rj's age to focus on hitting the ball 25 yards in the air. Well at 3 years old he was averaging 35, and now at 4 years old he is averaging 65 yards.
As you may know, Golf is a great game, but can be very costly. Its not something that you can really do in the street like you can football or basketball. Every week Rj's parents spend around $125 in range fees, and green fees in order to give Rj a good place to practice. Golf balls and other necessities are also rather expensive.
But most importantly Rj is excited to begin playing in the local tournaments. He has been talking about it non stop and practices at least 3 hours daily (On his own) because he has a passion that is unheard of. If you would like more info on Rj Garza visit and like his facebook page!
