Biography
Hi, I'm Jasper Williams, a ski racer based in The Blue Mountains, Ontario. I spent my early years in Utah, where my love for skiing began before I even turned two. Being a dual citizen has opened doors to incredible experiences throughout my life.
Both my parents are involved in the ski industry, making skiing a part of our family's DNA. My mom Cara is co-host of The Next Turn podcast and was, until recently, the head coach at Georgian Peaks. She also served as the Executive Director of Freestyle Skiing Ontario. On the other hand, my dad works as a representative for Blizzard Tecnica and Nordica skis and boots, helping skiers find their perfect gear.
Georgian Peaks became my second home as I grew up skiing there. After school you'll often find me at Blue Mountain Resort, hitting jumps in the terrain park. For me, skiing is more than just a hobby; it is a way of life, full of freedom and joy.
Now, I'm heading into grade 11, and my passion for skiing continues to grow. I'm also heading to El Colorado, Chile in July to attend my first FIS ski camp with the Ontario Development Ski Team.
Besides skiing, I'm involved in school sports like volleyball, basketball, and recently got super into golf. I also really love mountain biking.
Sports have taught me the importance of following your passion, and I'm grateful for the support of my parents. With their guidance, I believe that with hard work and determination, I can achieve remarkable things.
