Biography
Philippines’ very own A-TEAM is a group composed of 50 of the country’s best dancers in this generation who came from different teams that have participated and won in various local and international streetdance competitions. Headed by two of the most sought after coaches in the Philippine hip hop community collectively named as THE ARDAs (Angelica Arda and MJ Arda), A-TEAM represented the Philippines and competed in several major international dance competitions in Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, and USA, and have hosted local events and international workshops in Singapore, Hong Kong, Guam, India, Russia, and USA. The team has also made appearances around the Philippines and special international performances in Taiwan and Singapore.
In 2014, the team took a huge step forward - after winning in the Hip Hop International Philippines Regional and National Championships earlier that year, the team became one of the official Philippine representatives in the 2014 World Hip Hop Dance Championship in Las Vegas, USA. In all three rounds (preliminaries, semifinals, and finals), A-TEAM owned the Megacrew division – making them the 2014 Megacrew champions and the first ever Filipino team to bring home the gold in that division. The following year, A-TEAM came back to WHHDC and bagged the bronze in the same division. In 2016, A-TEAM was selected to join one of the most prestigious dance competitions in the world, Body Rock, and became the first and only Filipino team to ever step on that stage in San Diego, CA.
