Biography
Hello, I'm Addison Kerr and I'm 8 years old. 4 months ago my dad asked me if I wanted to sign up for a sport or some sort of after school activity. I said yes but wasn't sure what I wanted to do. He found that our local jiu-jitsu/judo dojo does a free trail class and asked if I'd like to try that. I said sure not knowing really what it was. My dad said it was a martial art and it was kinda like wrestling. So I went and took the trial class. We signed me up that day. It was amazing. I've only been doing it for 4 months but I've already earned my first rank stripe in both jiu-jitsu and judo and became part of my dojo leadership program. I set my goal and I achieved it. My dad is a hard working single father. He does his best to give me everything I need and to make sure I'm happy. But it's just the two of us and money is tight. As I advanced so did the cost of training, I'm asking for help so my dad doesn't have to work so hard and worry so much about money. He's been my biggest supporter, when he's not tired from working he trains with me helping me prefect my moves and making sure I get the most out of my training. My grandpa got me a gym mat so we can practice at home and it's fantastic. I may only be 8 but right now I want to make this my life and I'm so happy my dad supports my choice. I wouldn't be where I'm at already with out him. My aunts typing this for me because my spelling isn't great. But if you can help please do, I know its a lot to ask but it'd be greatly appreciated. I'd like to thank my aunt for helping me set this up and typing for me she's amazing love you.
