I created this campaign because:
I am a London 2012 Olympian, 2014 Commonwealth Games Silver medallist and GB International Judo fighter, with higher aspirations to win the Olympic Games and become World Champion.
As an unfunded athlete, I receive no financial support from my national governing body, meaning I self fund most of the competitions and training camps I do.
My immediate goal is to meet the challenge of accumulating enough World ranking points to qualify for Rio 2016 and with points only to be gained through results at the “World Circuit” events, financial backing is essential to have a realistic chance at Olympic qualification.
I will be using the funds for:
I'm aiming to raise £3000 to compete at the African Open in Mauritius and the Oceania Open in Australia this November. These tournaments will significantly improve my world ranking if I medal, providing me with crucial Olympic qualifying points. The funds donated will pay for flights, accommodation, and competition entry.

Financial backing is essential to have a realistic chance at Olympic qualification.
Without your help I will not be able to afford to compete at these competitions. Unable to compete will set me further back from achieving my goal. Supporting me on this campaign will enable me to focus on my training rather than the finances. With your help, I will be able to represent you at the African and Oceania Opens.
