Biography
I began wrestling competitively over 10 years ago. Over the years I have represented Canada numerous times in the sport of wrestling, at various age groups and international competition. I have competed at the Junior Pan Am Championships and World Championships, and in 2014 I placed 5th at the FISU World Championships. I am a former First Team All-Canadian, Academic All-Canadian, and 2x Canada Cup finalist. I am proud to be a part of the Canadian National Team. However, through all the great opportunities this sport has offered me, I have never had the chance to represent my country at a major games.
On March 22nd, I accomplished a major goal of mine in winning the Senior National Championships, and the first step in qualifying for the Pan American Games. I am extremely excited to prepare, compete, and be successful in a major games like this. As a part of this journey, I will be travelling to Chili near the end of April for the mandatory, self-funded Pan American Championships, which serves as the final qualification even for the Games. Following the championships I will have multiple opportunities to compete and train both domestically and internationally in preparation for the Games, all of which will be self-funded as well.
