I created this campaign because:
I am looking to further the pursuit of my passion for snowboarding. I've been striving towards becoming a professional athlete since I first started competing in sport at a young age. Through many injuries and hardships my focus has never shifted. I am determined to Live my Dream of being a professional athlete in the Snowboard Industry and it's going to happen, but I need YOUR help to get me one step closer to achieving this life long goal! =)
Though competition is not my main focus, the skills training that I will be purchasing with the money from this campaign will propel me forward in my ability to do well at the contests I do plan to attend this season such as:

The Showcase Showdown

I will be using the funds for:
Spending as much time as I can on snow with my coach Joe.
In the past I have volunteered my time to coach younger athletes to earn my own coaching time. This will simply no longer do if I am to reach my long term goals.
Once on snow with Joe, our main focus will be jumping. This is part of the slope style discipline. It's a crucial part of every athletes journey to becoming a top contender in the snowboard industry. Jumping covers all the basic skills and technique of snowboarding. The better at jumping I become, the closer I will be to living my dream of being a professional athlete. Jumping lays the foundation for everything else to be built upon so it's a crucial part in my journey.
There are many many costs throughout the winter season so I think focusing on raising enough money to pay for my coaching fees of the 2014/2015 season, and my initial jump training camp in Colorado is what matters most.
Getting these costs sorted will set me up for a very successful season, after that, I'll be one step closer to living my Passion!

*If the fundraising surpasses this amount, the extra funds will be put towards costs such as; travel, accommodation, association fees, contest entry, hard-goods equipment, tuning supplies, athletic health care, and fitness memberships.
The estimated cost for the majority of my season is sitting around $18,500 right now, so raising this $9,500 amount ($8,000 after platform and advertising costs) will be a huge catalyst to the rest happening.
