Biography
My name is Pio Nino I. Opinaldo and I am a member and one of the assistant coaches of U.P Pep Squad. Born in Quezon City, Philppines, I started Cheerleading at the age of 18 and I immediately fell in love with it when I discovered that I can inspire a lot of people through cheerleading
As you can see, Cheerleading is my passion, now let me tell you my dream:
My first season on the UP Pep Squad was 11 years ago. I have had the opportunity to compete against some of the best athletes in the world, like Japan, USA, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Germany and Russia and while this experience was at times terrifying, it has also allowed me to gain more confidence and skills. Unfortunately, along the way I encountered financial problems but I didn’t let that stop me.
As one of the coaches of the squad, I want to pass on our legacy to the next cheerleaders of our team. Guiding our athletes and helping them achieve their full potential is one of our Job and winning a medal in this upcoming competition is our ultimate goal for the everyone.
