Biographie

Hello!

My name is DeLanie Perry and I've been a softball player my whole life. My dream is to one day reach the Olympic level, and play for team USA.

I recently tried out for the 2018 Central Florida Eagles Select 12U Team - a skilled and elite hand picked competitive team of athletes who are already on the path to playing college ball. I made the cut, and we will be traveling to Oklahoma City June 1st – June 4th, 2018, for the Triple Crown Fastpitch Tournament!

While our team is in Oklahoma, I will have the opportunity to attend the Women's College World Series where the top eight Division 1 College Softball teams compete for the National Title. It is very exciting to think that I will be traveling there and watching the best of the best. We will also be visiting the University of Oklahoma for a campus tour and we will be able to see the softball stadium where the Oklahoma Sooners compete. During the four days, we will also visit the National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum, where all the greats are honored for their achievements in the sport of fastpitch softball.

My journey of being a softball player has taught me so much about myself, such as my strengths and weaknesses, and how hard I can push myself physically and mentally. To become a top athlete in my sport I must push my limits and develop incredible self-discipline. The thing is, I want more, I know I can do more. I am ready to push my limits, and those of my teammates, even further as I work my way to a Triple Crown Title with my team.

As you can imagine, the expenses are considerable, and it is very difficult for our family as my father is in end stage renal disease (kidney failure), and he can no longer work. He has dialysis 20+ hours a week, and his medications exceed $1,000 a month. This is why I need your support. All donations will directly help me fund my training and fees. I travel an hour each way to practice twice a week, training facility fees, coaches fees, field rentals, uniforms, equipment, airline tickets, tournament fees, hotels, meals.....it is almost overwhelming! By contributing you will help me reach my goals and take part in our team's journey of becoming the Triple Crown Champions of 2018.
