Do you know what it takes to make a
dream come true? It takes vision, drive, commitment, discipline,
sacrifice, passion and most importantly, the support of a community who share
the dream. Only 6% of lifters are female and most do not receive the financial
support required to dedicate them to training.
I have a dream to compete as a female
Olympic Weightlifter in the 2015 Pan Am Games and the 2016 Olympic Summer Games
in Brazil. I dream of making Canada proud on the world stage by bringing
home a gold medal. As a disciplined and driven athlete, I am proud to be an
example to young girls everywhere by showing them that hard work and
determination can make dreams come true. Having only begun lifting in 2011, I
am a four-time Ontario Junior Champion and the current female Junior and Senior
Olympic Weightlifting Champion of Ontario in 69kg class. In 2014, I also became
the Canadian Senior Weightlifting Champion in the 75kg class. And am now the 2015 Canadian Junior Champion in the same class.
By donating to my cause, you can help
to make my dreams come true. 100% of funds raised will go towards fueling the
dream with training, supplements, treatments and competitions. Funds are
needed to facilitate training, qualification and participation in the 2015
World Junior Championships in Poland, the 2015 Pan Am Games and 2016 Olympic
Games in Brazil.
