Hello,
My name is Reubyn Story and I am 14 years old. I have been playing soccer beginning in Canada when I was 7 years of age and have been very fortunate to have received elite training early on. My coaches and teachers of the game actually called it football instead of soccer. I have learned the importance of training to become a technically proficient and creative player. My coaches say I have a gift when it comes to visualizing plays and anticipating moves on the field. The reason I like playing the game is that I know I can accomplish my goals to play college soccer like Jordan Morris, play for my country and eventually go on to play in one of the big 5 professional leagues. When I was born, due to complications at birth, the doctors told my parents that there was a high probability that I would have brain damage and possible handicap. Fortunately, that was not the outcome and my parents knew I was going to be a soccer player and encourage me every day. My other inspiration to work hard and succeed is Christian Ronoldo, because when he was 15 years old, he was diagnosed with a racing heart condition but he got better and is now one of the best players in the world. I want to become one of those great players as well. Ronaldo, Messi or any great athlete all say the same thing, you have to work hard to accomplish your goals.
Thank-you,
Reubyn
