Biography
My name is Jonah Shaffer. I am a competitive slalom waterskier from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I first started waterskiing here and there at the age of 7, and first started competing at the age of 12. With little expectations in my first competitive year, I ended up winning every competition I entered, including the Regional, Provincial, and National Championships. After that, I was hooked! With the setback of living in Canada and the ability to train only 4 months of the year, I was determined to make the most of it. 6 years later, I have accomplished almost every single goal I made for myself, and will continue to do so until I reach my full potential as an athlete on, and off the water! 3rd at 2013 Jr World Championships
2nd at 2012, 2013 Jr Malibu Open and 2014 U21 Malibu Open
3X Canadian National Champion
3X Canadian Record Holder
