Biography
My name is Jonah Shaffer. I am a competitive slalom waterskier from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I first started waterskiing here and there at the age of 7, and first started competing at the age of 12. With little expectations in my first competitive year, I ended up winning every competition I entered, including the Regional, Provincial, and National Championships. After that, I was hooked! With the setback of living in Canada and the ability to train only 4 months of the year, I was determined to make the most of it. 6 years later, I have accomplished almost every single goal I made for myself, and will continue to do so until I reach my full potential as an athlete on, and off the water! A few of my notable accomplishments to date are:
