Biografia
My name is Regan Lloyd, I am 20 years old and I am a full time swimmer at Team Ipswich swimming club and I live in Bentley, Suffolk. I have been competing for 10 years now under the guidance of Team GB coach Dave Champion. I am a freestyler and my main events are the 200 and 400 metres freestyle where I am currently sitting in the top 25 in the country for both.
I have taken the risk of dedicating everything to my swimming because I believe that with the support of my coach and my parents I can push for the top of my events in the Country, one day being able to represent my Country as a part of Team GB swimming, which as of now is within touching distance. I hope that with this extra support and funding it can allow me to go away to much larger meets preferably abroad to race against some of the best in the world, as well as supporting me with necessary equipment for when racing and training, all of which will boost my confidence and allow me to get the best out of my swimming in and out of the pool.
I have had many achievements over the past 10 years with my swimming most recently competing at the World Championship trials this year in Sheffield, as well as Olympic Trials last year, just 2 of many big international meets I have competed at. I am a double National medalist claiming a bronze in the 100 metres freestyle and a bronze in the 4x100 metre freestyle relay. I have managed to consecutively make nationals every year since 2008. I am currently Regional and County champion in multiple events such as the 100, 200, 400 and 1500 freestyle and have managed to retain the titles over the past years.
